Who it is for
Worth considering if you would rather not worry about the technical side of your site, updates keep slipping or nobody knows who to contact when something breaks. A site built by another developer can be assessed too.
Where we start
When nobody owns the technical side of a website, updates and faults land on you. Maintenance gives the site someone accountable for keeping it working and dealing with problems as they arise. We start with a review of what the site depends on, where its data lives and who controls access.
Website maintenance
What you get
Website maintenance: we look after your site, keep it working and deal with technical issues. A takeover review comes first, and we agree the scope of care from the site’s actual condition. Further development and search work are separate options.
Deliverables
An overview of the platform, access and service providers.
A written agreement on what the care covers and what it does not.
An agreed way to report technical problems and get them handled.
A record of the maintenance work done.
If wanted, a separately prioritised list of improvements.
Engagement scope
Technical condition, critical functions and the agreed scope of care set the price. Initial clean-up and ongoing care are quoted separately.
What to know
- Faults that existed before we start may need a separate remediation project.
- The exact scope of care, including response and new features, is agreed separately.
How it works
Three steps
Review the site’s condition and access.
Agree what the care covers and how problems are reported.
Look after the site within the agreed scope and discuss any further improvements.
Can you look after a site someone else built?
Possibly. We assess it after reviewing the platform and access, and some issues may need fixing before care begins.
What do I get from website care?
Peace of mind: someone looks after the site, keeps it working and deals with technical issues. We agree exactly what that covers before we start.
Are small changes part of the care?
Only if that has been agreed. Maintenance, support time and further development are kept separate.
Is ongoing care compulsory after launch?
No. If your own team or another partner looks after the site, we agree only the handover. Care makes sense when someone has to be accountable for an agreed scope.
