Personal data and privacy
Your information and how it is used.
What this information covers
This notice explains personal data processing associated with using the Webtailor website, sending an inquiry and contacting us. Processing on websites operated by our clients is covered by the information for the respective website.
Who handles your data?
The controller for inquiries associated with this website is Make It Bit OÜ, registry code 16532093. Contact us at ian@webtailor.ee or by post at Laeva 2, Creative Union, 10111 Tallinn, Estonia. Webtailor is the service name used on this website.
When you send an inquiry
Website form acceptance is currently switched off. You can contact us at ian@webtailor.ee.
The form asks for your name, email address and a description of what you need so that we can understand and answer your inquiry. The website address and service selection are optional. Sending the form does not place an order or automatically subscribe you to a newsletter.
When form acceptance is enabled, we also process the inquiry language, technical request and acceptance identifiers, acceptance time and handling or delivery status. Please do not include passwords, health information or other sensitive details unnecessary to explain your request.
If you send an inquiry from a page offering a service to a particular customer group, we add an identifier for that offer to your inquiry so we know which offer you contacted us about. It comes from the page you send the form from, not from your browsing history.
If you email us directly, we process your email address, message and the information you include. Without the required form information, the form cannot accept the inquiry; email is a separate way to contact us.
Purposes and legal grounds
If you contact us about a possible contract in your own name, we process the information needed to take steps at your request before a contract is made (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)). Handling a company representative’s contact details or another ordinary business inquiry may instead rely on our legitimate interest in answering correspondence and managing relevant business communications (Article 6(1)(f)).
Website security and abuse-prevention checks aim to keep the service available. Optional analytics or advertising relies on separate consent (Article 6(1)(a)); see the cookie information.
Website operation and security
Opening the website sends technical information needed for the request to the hosting service, including your IP address and browser request information. The form validates requests, identifies retries and limits submission attempts. Application rate counters use a derived identifier instead of the raw IP address; this does not make the information anonymous.
Automatic checks can reject an invalid or excessively frequent submission attempt. They do not decide whether to enter a contract or provide a service. You can email us if the form is unavailable.
Who may receive information?
Authorised people handling inquiries and the hosting, database or communications services we use may need access for their work. If we use a technical delivery service, we pass it only the information its task requires.
The website is hosted on Vercel. A Neon database is prepared for form inquiries; form acceptance is not currently enabled. We use Google Workspace for email. Automatic form notifications are not switched on.
If disclosure is required by law, it is limited to what that requirement needs.
Where is information processed?
Processing locations for hosting, database and email services depend on the service and its configuration. A region setting alone does not describe all processing locations, backups or support access. Contact ian@webtailor.ee for more information about the services used.
How long is information kept?
For an inquiry that does not become a client relationship, the approved retention period is six months after the last substantive contact. Client contracts and records we must retain to meet legal obligations are handled separately. Any longer retention for a specific claim must have a documented basis and period.
The retention arrangements also cover inquiry records, email, delivery copies and backups. Automatic deletion is not currently configured. The cookie information explains how long browser choices and the acceptance identifier remain valid.
Optional measurement and marketing
Analytics and advertising are separate choices. Sending an inquiry or allowing advertising cookies does not subscribe you to email marketing. The application does not copy your name, email address, message or free text into measurement events. An accepted-inquiry event may contain a random technical identifier linked to that inquiry; it is not treated as anonymous information.
Optional analytics and advertising measurement are currently switched off on this website.
Your rights
You can request access and correction, and, where legal conditions apply, erasure or restriction. You can withdraw consent and object to processing based on legitimate interests because of your particular situation. Portability applies to information you supplied where processing is automated and based on consent or a contract.
Email ian@webtailor.ee. If there is reasonable doubt about identity, we ask for the additional information needed to verify it. The normal response period is one month. A lawful extension for a complex request must be explained within the first month. These rights do not always require immediate deletion of every record.
You may complain to Estonia’s Data Protection Inspectorate at https://www.aki.ee/ or seek a judicial remedy.
Updates
We update this information when processing or the services used by the website change. A previous choice is not automatically treated as consent for a new optional purpose.
